What We Believe...

God is sovereign, loving, gracious, and revealed to us in Jesus Christ, who is with us even now in the mysterious workings of the Holy Spirit, calling us to follow and live into his holy, life-giving ways.
Westminster is a place where everyone is welcome, and humble people strive to answer that call as we share this journey called faith together.

People who enter this house often report finding a place of grace, peace, encouragement, and kindness, as well as a welcoming atmosphere for fellowship around food, thought, and study. They find it to be a place of generosity, laughter, and music. They discover they have entered a place of sincere welcome and love.

At Westminster, there is space for each person to be themselves and to grow in faith and service. There is space for each to become more and more the genuine and unique soul and blessing God means for them to be.

In this home, we know each other. We care for one another, and we strive to love our neighbors, near and far. We understand that we are not perfect (nobody is) and that everyone is a work in progress. That goes hand in hand with believing deeply that God’s grace is always there, providing room for all of God’s children to be included, always helping us to begin again and to keep going when we stumble or fall.
And while we will surely share scriptural teachings here (we do love the Word), and will surely like to think big theological thoughts (we do love to learn), and will surely each come to develop some sincere beliefs that are dear to our own heart (we do love our creeds), we get that people of faith can have different thoughts on how to walk on in service to Christ and still love one another.

In fact, we believe that these kinds of differences make us stronger as a family, and we believe that this kind of love, regardless of its form, is precisely what Jesus commands of his disciples (John 13:34-35).
The door is open. We will be glad to see you.
